Nutrien.
Seven days became a few hours. A merger left field reps juggling several ERPs, so we gave them one app to sell from.
One company. Several ways to take an order.
After the merger, Nutrien's sales process ran across multiple ERP systems. The same customer could live in two places, prices came from different sources, and reps were re-entering information just to push a single order through.
For people working out of a truck between farms, that meant orders took about a week to process, and too much of the job happened after the visit instead of during it.
Designed for the truck, not the boardroom.
We started with the reps. Their frustrations, and the workarounds they'd invented, set the brief. The app went mobile-first, with a web companion for the desk.
- 01Synthesized sales insights from the field team
- 02Mapped every ERP pain point in the order journey, end to end
- 03Designed mobile flows for product lookup, pricing and ordering on the spot
- 04Ran agile, feedback-driven iterations with real users
- 05Delivered the web app and an internal UX strategy to carry it forward
Order processing time
7 days → hours
Reps look up products and close transactions in the field, on the fly.
Adoption came fast, because it was easier.
An interface built around how reps actually sell meant quick uptake. The sales cycle shortened, satisfaction stayed high through each round of refinement, and the ERPs stayed where they belong: behind the scenes.
