Analog Coffee.
Coffee, minus the line-up. When the counter had to close, we helped Analog keep pouring.
A café is a room full of people. In 2020, that was the problem.
COVID-19 meant Analog had to cut physical contact without cutting off its customers. It needed a safe way to take orders and hand them over, one that still felt like Analog and not a generic delivery app.
Fast, remote and still human-centred.
We ran the project in agile sprints so it could move as fast as the guidelines changed. Research moved online too: virtual user testing, remote workshops and whiteboarding kept real customers in the loop while nobody could be in the same room.
- 01Virtual user testing and remote workshops
- 02Order and pickup flows designed for zero contact
- 03POS integration so the app matched how orders are actually made
- 04Brand system carried into the app: colours, patterns, voice
- 05A reworked business model for mobile-first service
The handover
Order. Walk in. Walk out.
Safe, contact-free pickups, in line with health guidelines, without losing the brand.
The counter closed. The coffee didn't stop.
Customers kept their routine, staff kept their distance, and Analog kept its identity. The app used Analog's own colours and design patterns, and it lined up with how the POS fulfils orders, so the new flow fit the café rather than fighting it.
